Wild Rose Cherished
Emerging from moist soil, a solitary seed
Sinewy woody shank, nubile thorns take form
Held in the arms of a light breeze, tiny leaves dance
Her beauty hidden
Slender hip, a tightly wound promise
Growth denied, an old Oak casts shadows
Reaching for sunbeams, dreams unfulfilled
Her beauty forestalled
Peers bloom, their petals flourishing with life
Persistent is the Oak, torment diminishing spirit
Bud withering, love abrogated by decree
Her beauty denied
Summer sun, a new arc is cast
First embrace, beams nurture the soul
Life springs anew, sipping sweet rays
Her beauty thrives
Violet petals part, a solitary flower embraced
Glowing with love, the new day commences
Warmth invigorates, begging your touch
Her beauty realised
Walking along a garden path, her hand I gently hold
Peering into her eyes, her lips I tenderly kiss
Intoxicating her presence, inspiring her essence
Her beauty cherished
Beautiful words my friend!
