Karma: a tale of soft deceit...

Karma, what does it mean to you? Do you believe in Karma? The origins of Karma hail from the Sanskrit word " Kri " which means to do. Kri was a power by which individuals and collectives could influence the Gods, nature, weather, harvests and enemies. Through the right intent and rituals performed righteously thus by actions determine one's destiny.

Immortalized in the Buddhist Vedas the tradition of Karma was stamped on the Indian race. In Vedanta texts Volume I: Samhitas Volume II: Brahmanas and Aranyakas Volume III: Upanishads Volume IV: Vedangas The God Karma was illuminated by the vengeful elephant of reciprocity. In later dates, the Arabic word Karam was adopted to define the grace of God as Karma. As Karma became a global staple it was somewhat tainted by defeatist western constructs of fate. This created helplessness and disempowerment from the true nature of GodSelf. One constant Karmic thread woven through the ages from 1,500 BCE to the present is the carrot and stick motif.

The need in this life to act in "righteousness" or "goodness" for the benefit of rewards in the next life. I perceive concepts of Karma as having created subtle echoes from which more damaging tenets like heaven and hell are derived. If we are prepared to accept the view of a God separate from self, sitting in judgement handing out Karma, then we enslave our true GodSelf spirit. Great books lead the faithful; the Bible, the Koran, the Vedantas, the Gita, each offer wisdom, beauty and truth. However, each great work adopts the philosophy of reward and punishment as a function of control used to enslave devotees under the dominion and servitude of theology. Heaven and hell bend the will of the Christian. Mohammad, in the words of the Koran, demands servitude and abeyance. The reward is great riches for the "good" Christian and Muslim in the afterlife.

Lord Krishna insists on proper living as he instructs the young Arjuna about the fruit which awaits his next life. The Vedantas offer very definitive instructions to the Hindu follower. The man of faith and goodness will be rewarded with a superior next life. The fact remains, every religion needs followers. The carrot ushers in the sheep and the stick keeps the flock united. Following are just a few of the issues I have with Karma; separation from oneness, separation from free will, the establishment of judgement right and wrong/good and bad, the disempowerment of GodSelf and God as a judge. Separation from oneness: If you trust in the ONE, then you must accept all manifest and unmanifest as God realised perfection. Under the blanket of Oneness, we see divinity in every expression.

When we envision perfection in every conscious moment there is no need to reward the good and cast down the bad. All is God, all is good. Separation from free will: This can never lead to truth. Instead of conforming to demands of scripture, we are better served following the will of our soul. Each soul is here to choose, from the plenum, a reality which will further the evolutionary path of the ONE. All choice is God taking yet another step. Right and wrong/good and bad: We must see the illusion of separation in duality if we are ever to see the ultimate truth. When we enslave ourselves to concepts like Heaven, Hell and Karma we create a world of judgement. From the perspective of the ONE, there can be no good or bad. There is only Godliness, which in its essence is love and perfection. If you search your heart and find anything other than love.

You must then ask yourself, why does illusion persist?

Concepts of Karma dis empower the GodSelf: This is a most tragic loss. I am God, all choice I make is perfect. There is nothing I could do which is not Godly. Give this gift of GodSelf truth to everyone and every moment. This gift is called unconditional love, it is your true nature. God as judge: the one who determines your next life or afterlife experience. From the bowels of Karma sit judgement in the form of reward or retribution. How can this make any sense to the one who seeks the truth? Reward and punishment can only be functions of a God separate from the self. God did not make the universe, God became the universe.

All creation is God, nothing cowers in abeyance. You cannot covet future gains by actions of social fidelity. You are God, choose that which you desire. Don't wait for future rewards, choose to own all rewards now, in this life. We will never find truth in conforming for the benefit of the reward. Karma is a sexy posit as it is found waving its banner from high ground. For most people, it makes sense to believe that good behaviour will be rewarded and bad behaviour will reap just torment. This is an illusion, the seeker of truth will eliminate concepts of bad and good. See every moment through a lens of unconditional love and acceptance. ''

See God in every expression and you will find yourself on the path to truth, freedom and enlightenment. Know in your heart the truth of In Lak' ech: The assailant and victim are one being, I am another you. Namaste, I see God in you. Do you see God in others? 1. Yes - "the assailant and victim are one" :) Separation is a dark illusion. The ego creates karmic return through selfish behaviours, but the true ("God") self will always act for the benefit of all. As you suggest, to do something "good" in hope of a karmic reward is an act of selfishness - the true self never thinks of "self" and will always act for the greater good of all. It is not a case of "doing the right thing", but of listening to the quiet inner voice of intuition: of thinking, talking and acting from the heart.

  4. Namaste brother Ian, very well stated. What you speak of is known in eastern philosophy as dharma which is; living ones life doing the right thing in the right way at the right time for the right reasons. It is believed that as one strives to find their dharma in turn they find themselves closer to nirvana.

  7. Hi Christopher Another great post from you which I find to be so true and I agree completely with your thoughts on the subject of Oneness and Karma. We are all One as I see things and for every action there is a reaction but our rewards are here right now if we can see clearly. Thanks again my friend for your words of enlightenment. Your beautiful spirit graces this earthly plane in a way which I truly admire. Peace and love to you and yours

  9. Aahhhh, Wonderful post!
one of my favorite subjects, that being Karma...

Karma is simply the Law of Nature, the law that governs this 3D existence and we will/do reap what we sow, individually and collectively...
if you are silly enough to only do things in hopes of good returns later, then you may be left wondering why those 'good deeds' you did left you with unexpected results...
because your intent was not in love from beginning...

but for one who only lives in unconditional love, already is operating 'beyond duality' and need not worry about any outcomes of their actions, as they only will be positive (even if at first glance they seem to be a setback)...

this is a tricky subject, especially for those who find themselves in times where everything seems to be going wrong for them, but by truly analyzing one's intent before they act, one will eventually break free from the shackles of the Duality Illusion in this very lifetime itself, as many have done and are doing at this moment...

you know when you are acting in true accordance to the Divine,
as your day to day life will mirror this to you, as all experience is really just a mirror of how you are choosing to act...

    Namaste Brother Christopher

  10. Those who advocate the administration of rewards and punishments, do so on the grounds that the rewards act as incentive, and the punishments as correctives. If karma is taken to mean a mechanism whereby one's acts in this life determine the conditions of the next, then even this justification is unusable. There can be no point at all in being rewarded/punished for an act one can't remember. Only an utterly perverse and insane god would set up a system like that. I don't believe that god is separate from my Self, but even if I did, I would have to believe that my god was saner and smarter than I am.

  11. There is another way of understanding karma, though. Not as an agent of justice, but rather as a mechanism for setting up those conditions that best reveal the potentials of any incarnation that God enters into. Basically a synonym for fate.

  12. Namaste Brad, nice to enjoy your visit and comments. You hit the nail on the head, we create this beautiful reality so we might as well own it also. Loving acceptance of the entire expression is the key to releasing the bondage of perceived karma. Have a fantastic week my friend looking forward to the next installment from you and Kiki.

"Not as an agent of justice, but rather as a mechanism for setting up those conditions that best reveal the potentials of any incarnation that God enters into. Basically a synonym for fate."

I like that description very much. Often we find ourselves looking to redefine the meaning and context of words commonly used. I think we create a new archetype of magic for words we redefine. New magic means an opportunity to break away from the mind controlling magic force fed to us by MSM at the behest of the elite New World Order.

  14. very good post. I was just thinking about this the other day. Why are we so fixed on being good so we can go somewhere good when we die and get good stuff? My own belief is cause and effect~if I told my boss off today and quit my job, I would be happy, but not be able to pay my bills and eventually be homeless and destitute. Therefore my decisions are based on what is likely to happen if I do A or B.

I don't think we can do anything and have no consequences in this life~we make our own reality, right?

thanks for getting me thinking = )

    you are blessed.

  15. Namaste sister Jennifer, I have to agree with you, we certainly create our own reality. However, often is the case we get all caught up in the drama of life, start complaining whilst completely forgetting we were the one who created it all in the first place. If I feel my life sucks, how will I ever fix it if I can't understand I created it to begin with.

My pleasure to write the post, I am pleased it helped kick start your brain today.

  16. Thanks Sweetheart. Actually, I suspect the original meaning of karma was closer to my definition than the standard modern meaning, and it was changed to suit the agenda of the control-system.

  17. brother chris,

another enlightening post from you. thanks for the wisdom you are sharing. and i'd also would like to commend 13muluc for adding this -- "Not as an agent of justice, but rather as a mechanism for setting up those conditions that best reveal the potentials of any incarnation that God enters into." --
most times, we find ourselves caught up in a certain level of perception or understanding, much as we would like to level up, most times it takes great effort and persistence and most times our persistence come up short. during these times, karma in the form of reward/punishment control system, becomes useful to at least drive us common folk to explore further the pursuit towards attaining the gift of unconditional love.

  18. Namaste brother Sito, thank you for stopping by and sharing your views it is always an honour. I understand this is not an easy path for the "average" person (which does not include you Sito) to comprehend, let alone embrace as truth. As well, I do believe we are ALL meant to come up "short" as many times as we should choose.

However, I must strongly disagree with your assessment that present day concepts of karma serve humanity in a just or beneficial manner. Leveling up is hard enough without a constant barrage of misinformation from church, education and state alike. I cannot believe we are to be "driven" toward anything, in fact it stands against free will and the ultimate value of unadulterated choice. Reward and punishment has never worked with the beast, why should it work for the man. The path to unconditional love can only be chosen by adherents with the heartfelt desire to continue beyond the banality of the corporate systems of injustice. I know where your heart is my brother, further thought on the matter may encourage you to release the dirtiness of church for the beauty that church and commune with God can offer.

  21. When we look at shape, sound and colour as being of value, we are selling ourself short. We are robbed blind. When we look past the measure of pleasure of the 3D illusion, the ultimate expression of wisdom, ecstasy, worth and strength is recognized as being ours. Physical pleasures are just that, pleasurable. However, to reconnect to our original wisdom state, by realizing what’s transpiring within this 3 dimensional experience, reclaims the incredible freedom and liberty of the eternal wisdom Paradise state, and the 3D physical pleasures are even more pleasurable because of this awareness. The increased pleasure is experienced because of the realization that sin, death, hell, and all the forbidding of the luciferian mind, is a lie. Without any forbidden fruit to play the guilt card, an effortless existence of simply observing, watching and waiting, and knowing all things, becomes ours once again.

This is our original state of existence: to know all things and to be free and liberated. This has nothing to do with whether our physical bodies are free and liberated, it has to do with becoming free and liberated from the hypnotic manipulation of our minds.

Hypnotic manipulation of our minds is when we actually believe OUR MIND IS OUR MIND.
